After the court denied her request for temporary leave to undergo a Cesarean section, Wynonna Judd‘s daughter will have to give birth while incarcerated.
Currently serving a 15-month sentence at the Rockingham County Jail in Harrisonburg, Virginia, for driving with a suspended or revoked license, Grace Pauline Kelley filed a document in July asking for a temporary release from jail to welcome her second child.
While law enforcement will escort the superstar singer’s daughter to the hospital for a C-section on a scheduled date, a Virginia judge denied the temporary leave of absence.
According to the documents, Kelley has no relationship with her biological family after previously accusing Wynonna of knowing her ex-stepfather, DR Roach, was abusing her as a child.
Judd was married to Roach, her former bodyguard, from 2003 to 2007, who was arrested in March 2007 in Texas and charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery on a child under the age of 13. Though the victim was never identified, the defendant was subsequently convicted of attempted aggravated sexual battery.
In a 2025 interview with the Daily Progress, Kelley stated that she was 10 years old at the time of the alleged abuse, which came to light when the family went to counseling., adding:
“When he was arrested, and it came out in the news, that’s when she divorced him,” she said of her mother. “So is my mom rich? Yeah, she’s so rich that she was able to sweep me under the rug and then cover it all up.” “I don’t want to talk bad about my mom, but we’ll just say she’s a good performer. She was never a mother.”
For the past two years, Judd has reportedly been caring for Kelley’s toddler daughter Kaliyah.
