Global pop icon Harry Styles has officially launched his historic 12-night residency at London’s Wembley Stadium with a completely sold-out opening weekend. The landmark musical engagement, which commenced with high-profile performances on June 12 and 13, sets a brand-new record for the most shows performed by any individual recording artist at the iconic stadium venue within a single calendar year.
The opening London concerts formed part of Styles’ massive ongoing Together, Together global residency tour, which features an exclusive selection of extended multi-night runs in primary cities including Amsterdam, São Paulo, Mexico City, Melbourne, Sydney, and a massive 30-show residency at Madison Square Garden in New York. To celebrate the monumental opening weekend in the UK capital, country-pop royalty Shania Twain joined Styles on stage as a special guest performer.
The spectacular opening weekend sets treated tens of thousands of fans to a comprehensive, career-spanning setlist. Styles delivered energetic performances of his massive global chart-toppers, including “Watermelon Sugar,” “Adore You,” “Golden,” and “As It Was.” The extensive live production also featured a dedicated orchestral strings section during tracks like “Fine Line” and “Coming Up Roses,” alongside a medley of nostalgic hits from his One Direction tenure, featuring “Night Changes” and “History.”
The Wembley performances also marked the live debut of material from his newly released studio project, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally., which is currently available across all global platforms. Audiences were treated to live iterations of brand-new tracks, including “Aperture” and “American Girls,” alongside fan-favorite acoustic ballads like “Matilda” and “Little Freak,” which alternated between the two opening nights.
The star-studded international tour is scheduled to feature a diverse rotating lineup of support acts across select global dates, including Robyn, Jorja Smith, Jamie xx, Fousheé, Skye Newman, and Fcukers.
