To the winner of a his lookalike contest held in a Toronto bakery, Drake has awarded a $10,000 prize.
Hosted by the Casuals Cakery on Saturday (12.14) in his hometown, fans of the superstar Canadian rapper/writer turned out in droves to participate in the competition.
After posting news of the event on Instagram, the bake shop shared a screenshot message from the musician (born Aubrey Drake Graham) stating that he would donate “10 bands” toward “the main prize.”
Paying homage to a look the now 38-artist wore earlier this year, Makayla Chambers, a female winner dubbed “Girl Drake” won the grand prize after she showed up to the event with her hair in two pigtails, a fake goatee, and an oversized beige sweater.
The Drake-lookalike contest is the latest in a string of viral events held since a Timothée Chalamet-themed competition in Manhattan in October resulted in the man himself turning up to greet his fans.
