A decade after Mötley Crüe formally announced their retirement from touring, the iconic rock band are now preparing for a Las Vegas residency to begin in March of 2025 at Park MGM.
Running from March 28 through April19, it’s been eleven years since the glam metal band’s last Vegas residency, and in a statement to People magazine, the band’s bass player/songwriter, Nikki Sixx said:
“We were wrong in retiring, obviously.” “We want to just relook at our songs that people have been asking us to play for a long time. We want to do something special for Vegas.”
The Mötley Crüe line-up includes Sixx, singer Vince Neil, drummer Tommy Lee and guitarist John 5, and while all the members are now family men, Sixx confirmed that their wild days are in the past:
“Those days have come and gone. I think that the life that we lived and the experiences that we got to experience are not repeatable for any generation in the future. For us, it’s about moving forward. We don’t really want to be living in the past.”
A percentage of the proceeds from their West Coast residency ticket sales will be donated to Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, a Las Vegas-based organization that assists young people experiencing homelessness.
