50 Cent Celebrates Taylor Swift

Honored to get a shoutout on Taylor Swift’s new album, 50 Cent is mentioned on ‘Ruin the Friendship,’ the sixth track on the pop stars, just released The Life of a Showgirl LP.

Taking to Instagram, the 50-year-old rapper wrote “@taylorswift s*** is popping right now, she shout me out, she don’t shout you out. LOL THIS IS FOR BIG TIMERS ONLY!” “Wait I’m the only shout out on the whole album.”

Addressing her teenage crush and the regret of not taking a risk and kissing the person, the multi-Grammy award winner sings “And it was not an invitation/But as the 50 C?nt song played/Should’ve kissed you anyway.” “And it was not convenient, no/Would’ve been the best mistake/Should’ve kissed you anyway, hey.”

Swifties speculate that Taylor’s song is about fellow Hendersonville High Schooler Jeffrey Lang who passed away in 2010 at the age of 21.

Speaking at the 2010 BMI Country Music Awards following his death, Taylor said “Yesterday, I sang at the funeral of one of my best friends. And he was 21, and I used to play my songs for him first. So I would like to thank Jeff Lang.”

Making history with her record-breaking 2023-2024, 149 concert Eras Tour, the now 35-year old superstar singer/songwriter told BBC Radio’s 1 Breakfast with Greg James:

“I’m gonna be really honest with you. Like, I am so tired when I think about doing it again because I would want to do it really, really well again.” “It was truly astonishing for all of us who were on that tour. We were like, what is going on? It turned into something very quickly that we, that exceeded any of our expectations for what the tour could have been.” “I knew it was crazy what was happening. We never had anything happen like that. I’ve been with my band for a very long time. My tour, my touring family, my team… we’re all very close and have been forever and none of us have ever had anything like that happen.”
