50 Cent Settles Lawsuit

50 Cent has settled a January assault lawsuit filed against him by photographer Guadalupe De Los Santos.

In the complaint, following a book signing in Los Angeles in September 2024, the camera man alleged he was deliberately knocked off his electric scooter by a member of the superstar rapper’s entourage when he pulled up beside their car .

While the musician (born Curtis Jackson) initially denied all claims, on Wednesday (11.26,), editors at People reported that the case had been settled out of court, though no financial terms have yet been disclosed.

According to a motion earlier this week, Jackson and De Los Santos “reached an agreement in principle to resolve all claims” and were “in the process of drafting and executing the formal settlement agreement” a month before a hearing was due to take place on the case.

Concurrent with the legal settlement, Jackson is promoting his new project, Sean Combs: The Reckoning. Directed by Alexandria Stapleton, the four-part, 50 Cent-executive produced documentary chronicles Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’s rise to fame, success as an entrepreneur, and fall from grace.

In July, Combs was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution but acquitted of the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. Three months later, Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison.

Sean Combs: The Reckoning will stream via Netflix from December 2.
