Leg two of the Astroworld Tour invaded Travis Scott’s hometown of Houston on Wednesday, and it was a special night for those lucky enough to be in attendance.
Aside from the excitement of having their own Jambaworld Jamba Juice station, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner hit the stage prior to La Flame ending the show with a rousing version of his smash hit “SICKO MODE,” to make a couple of major announcements. Turner presented Scott with a key to the city for his banner year and contributions of giving back to H-Town. “We owe so much to this guy for keeping Houston on the map,” the mayor stated before adding: “and because of him, we’re gonna bring another amusement theme park back to the city.”
The funfair in question is a dream come true for Scott, who forecasted plans to revive his childhood theme park on the Epic Records-released Astroworld opener “Stargazing.” “’99, took AstroWorld, it had to relocate/ Told the dogs I’d bring it back, it was a seal of faith,” Cactus Jack prophesied, and now he is making good on that promise.
