Following the March release of his highly-anticipated album After Hours, The Weeknd unveiled alternate versions and remixes of a number of his tracks, the latest of which is hot take of the Doja Cat-assisted “In Your Eyes” that just acquired its own animated visual.
The newly-dropped video finds Abel’s digital avatar – complete with the bloodied nose, red suit, and sunglasses that have marked the album’s visual complements – roaming a futuristic cityscape at high speeds, while Doja Cat appears as a holographic billboard character. Throughout the colorful clip, there are nods to certain issues pertaining to civil unrest such as a burning police car bearing the signet “KKKPD” and references to the prison-for-profit industry. Check out the flashy visual here.
This video follows prior official clips for the After Hours short film, “Until I Bleed Out,” “In Your Eyes” and “Blinding Lights.” Courtesy of XO The Weeknd/Republic Records, the song finds itself among other remixes conducted by Vapor Wave, The Blaze, Chromatics and more.
