Sirius XM To Launch Rolling Stones, Bowie, Led Zeppelin Stations With Exclusive Content

Sirius XM is doing their part in helping listeners get through the COVID-19 pandemic by offering up a massive amount of new, limited edition channels. Set to launch tomorrow (May 1st), the radio service will bring some of the greatest hits and exclusive content from the likes of David Bowie, the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, George Strait, Guns N’ Roses, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Prince and the Rolling Stones.

The specially-curated channels roll out in conjunction with the company’s Stream Free period that’s been extended through May 31st for those stuck at homes for another month, allowing anyone to get free access to the streaming network’s full lineup of streaming content on the SiriusXM app. “It’s like catching lightning in a bottle for SiriusXM to be able to offer authorized channels from these iconic artists, not only to our subscribers, but at a time when our app is free to everyone,” said SiriusXM president and chief content officer Scott Greenstein in a statement. “These channels, combined with our already incredible set of artist-dedicated channels, makes SiriusXM the ultimate audio destination to bring fans closer to the artists they love, and at a time when people can use some great music.”

Across all the specific radio stations, there will be special edition releases, including previously-unheard tracks, alternate versions, live recordings and more. The Eagles will also offer their own “pandemic playlist,” curated for these difficult times. In all, Sirius XM is making huge moves to help out people in lockdown by offering very important content from classic acts in order to bring a little bit of happiness to the masses.
