DJ Khaled took to social media recently to share a letter about a special interaction he had with the late Nipsey Hussle which had a profound impact on the We The Best head honcho.
“Recently, I embarked on a soul-searching journey down a road I never thought I would travel in a million years,” he wrote. “It began when a tragedy robbed the world of an enlightened soul, a brother a father, a partner and my friend, Nipsey Hussle. Just days prior, he shared his energy and positivity with me on a video set for a song called, ‘Higher.’ After much prayer and reflection; and with the full blessing of the Asghedom family, I am sharing that moment with you.”
The “No Brainer” collaborator ended his message by revealing that all proceeds from their song “Higher” will go to Nipsey’s two children, Emani and Kross, as soon as the recording drops. The late rapper died on March 31st after he was gunned down outside his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles. See Khaled’s touching full post below.
