P!NK's 'Can We Pretend' Locks Down Top Position On Billboard's Dance Chart

P!nk’s ‘Can We Pretend’ Skyrockets Up Billboard’s Dance Songs Chart

Following her previous #1* efforts “Walk Me Home,” “Beautiful Trauma,” “Secrets” and “What About Us,” P!nk returns to the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart with the Cash Cash-supported “Can We Pretend.” After last week’s jump to #25* Power Pick, the RCA Records-release gains ten chart slots to #15* Greatest Gainer.

Aided by dance music vocalist Ryan Tedder and the New Jersey-based EDM trio, the Grammy-winning singer presents a melding of minds that questions the importance of what people call reality. Encouraging her fans to imagine, P!nk sings “So can we pretend that I’m 22 today?/Dancin’ on the tables with you, oh yeah/Can we pretend that we all end up okay?/I just wanna forget with you, oh yeah.”

The overall message is both a call to create your own reality and to question what others perceive as truth. Watch the accompanying illustrated visual for “Can We Pretend” where the Pennsylvania native takes a space walk.

Club culture support comes courtesy of main stage regular MOTi, Bart B, and Cristian Poow, each of whom offer up remixes that utilize the best of the original while adding unique twists that play to the strengths of each artist. Listen to MOTi’s version that turns the energy up to “dance floor heater” levels.
