Hot on the heels of his recent remix for “The Other Side” by Justin Timberlake and SZA and his latest solo effort, “Details” with Boy Matthews, Oliver Heldens made a special delivery this past weekend for the streaming-only Room Service Fest. Afloat on a boat, the Dutch DJ/artist/producer spun an hour of his favorite tunes for a worldwide audience.
Performing as an integral part of the Chill Nation virtual stage, the 25-year-old wasted no time playing his two newest tracks back-to-back. From there, Oliver sailed through his set as easily as did his boat on the river, featuring a number of Heldens’ originals and unreleased works. Closing out the event, the RCA Records artist payed homage to fellow dj/producer Calvin Harris‘ creation “Hypnagogic,” from his Love Regenerator project. In total, the show was upbeat as O.H. transported his listeners to a space where music raised spirits and the scenery upped the ante. Check out the exhibition here.
Still early in the new decade, 2020 has already been a fantastic year for the “Gecko” creator, with his recent #1* Billboard-charting single “Turn Me On” with Riton + Vula that followed last year’s “Fire In My Soul” featuring Shungudzo with more material to come.
