Musical Performances Dazzle At Super Bowl LIV

Although the main event on Sunday night (February 2nd) was the match up between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, music, and their performances also shined bright. Major exhibitions took place for the National Anthem, “America the Beautiful,” and the all-famous half time show.

Demi Lovato made good on a promise that she made via tweet almost exactly ten years ago when she sang The Star-Spangled Banner in Miami. The powerful show captivated both viewers and players alike. Watch a clip of the song below.

Yolanda Adams also took to the field for a rendition of “America the Beautiful” that started out breathy and airy, but soon turned into a rousing and touching ode to the United States.

The main event, consisting of Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, was full of classic and new tracks, as well as fresh faces in the form of J Balvin and Bad Bunny. Consisting of dozens of backup dancers, evocative lyrics and a fantastic light arrangement, the performance from both artists created one of the most memorable half time shows in recent memory.
