Released last night (November 19th), Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa unveiled the video for their collaboration “Prisoner.” Blending pop, rock and lo-fi visuals, the two put together a stellar mini-film for the RCA Records-released single.
The video finds the superstars driving a tour bus recklessly through NYC before they head to the back of the vehicle for a messy, campy, shamelessly risqué party. The two get handsy with each other while sporting Runaways-inspired looks and splashes of blood-like liquid. The duo then take the stage to perform their new hit.
The evocative visual and recording are on-brand for both artists, each of whom’ve been utilizing throwback motifs of late, with Dua Lipa’s Disco-inspired album Future Nostalgia, and Miley Cyrus‘s glam rock-inspired single “Midnight Sky,” along with her rock cover versions of Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” and the Cranberries’ “Zombie.”
Check out the latest from Miley Cyrus in the form of “Prisoner”.
“Prisoner” follows Cyrus’ retro-tinged and aforementioned single “Midnight Sky,” both of which will appear on the 27-year-old’s upcoming album Plastic Hearts, to arrive on November 27th.
