With legendary festival Lollapalooza cancelling its in-person 2020 edition, the legendary concert brand has opted to go virtual for the July 30th though July 2nd event.
The show’s offerings will include new live performances from H.E.R., Kali Uchis, Louis the Child, Yungblud and more and previously recorded content will include likes of Paul McCartney, Chance The Rapper, Lorde, Metallica, Ellie Goulding and others. Available for free via YouTube, the exhibition will also feature another 150 artists as listed below.
Nothing short of the real deal, “Lolla2020” will feature a mixture of original live performances, conversations with guests and activism. Lollapalooza founder and Jane’s Addiction frontman, Perry Farrell, will host conversations with icons like Lars Ulrich of Metallica and Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot throughout the four days. Additionally, The Make Change initiative, which focuses on those who use their fame to push for change, will give viewers four sessions with rapper and producer LL Cool J who’s slated to discuss topics ranging from graffiti and photography to “The Art of DJing.”
For attendees, merch will be available, with items ranging from throwbacks to new styles of graphic tees, hats and masks that can be bought online, with the Lolla2020+Bud Light collaboration offering a special collection over the weekend.
