Kylie Minogue + Pharrell Williams Join Forces On New Single “I Was Gonna Cancel”

Hot on the heels of her #1* Billboard Hot Dance Club Play single, “Into The Blue”, Kylie Minogue returns to domestic and international club and pop culture with her new release, “I Was Gonna Cancel”.

Written by Pharrell Williams (“Happy”, “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk, and ‘Blurred Lines’ by Robin Thicke), the American/Australian collaboration is the second single from the femme fatale’s current album “Kiss Me Once” and comes complete with remixes by The Presets, Moto Blanco, Maze & Masters, and KDA.

Born in Melbourne, Australia, on May 28, 1968, Kylie Minogue was a TV actress (playing Charlene in the her country’s soap opera, “Neighbors” in 1986) before switching to music and scoring big time with her remake of “The Loco-motion.”

Minogue went on to join the British writing/production team of Stock, Aitken & Waterman, and released her debut album, “Kylie”, in 1988. And, in 2002, Minogue released “Fever”, a mammoth international album that contained the #3 Billboard Pop and #1 Dance single, “Can’t Get You Out of My Head”.

As one of Australia’s most successful pop exports, Kylie has also provided guest vocals for the Pet Shop Boys, Coldplay, Hurts, Taio Cruz and her sister, Dannii.

With eight consecutive #1* Billboard singles and eleven overall American chart toppers to her credit all of us at PRO MOTION are honored and excited to carry on our 20-year marketing relationship with this triple threat, international talent.
