Kygo + Whitney Houston’s ‘Higher Love’ Reaches Peak Of Billboard Dance Chart

One of the fastest-charting singles of 2019, Whitney Houston and Kygo‘s melding of minds, “Higher Love,” secured the coveted #1* Greatest Gainer position on this week’s edition of the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.

Following the RCA Records-released, massive worldwide debut, the reboot of Steve Winwood‘s 1988 “Higher Love” became a global hit, winning the hearts of its original’s fans and a whole new, club culture generation. The #1* charting single combines the legendary New Jersey-born singer’s iconic voice with the Norwegian Tropical House producer’s seasoned expertise. Notwithstanding an obscure, 1990 Japanese B-side single, this never-before released, domestic cover was effortlessly assimilated into the low-key but exciting production by Kygo who rose to the occasion on this flawless composition.

In support of it’s massive dance floor appeal come remixes created by club culture elites Marc StoutTony Arzadon, Barry Harris, The Perry Twins, and Ray Rhodes, each of whom put their signature production spins on the contemporary rendition while keeping the original vocals intact.
