Justin Bieber and Chance The Rapper dropped a doozie on their fans in September with their heartfelt track “Holy,” and the musical duo just upped the ante with a matching acoustic version.
The new Universal Music release, debuting with 2 million streams on its initial release day, “Holy” marks the first “new era” chapter of Bieber’s and follows the delivery of his fifth studio album Changes in February. In its reincarnation, the gospel-pop melody received a rework from Chance The Rapper’s long-time collaborator Peter Cottontale that feature the two artists in stripped-down production form.
Close to the “Baby” singer’s heart, Bieber made the following statement when the original track dropped: “I made one of my most important songs with one of my most supportive friends and I really want yall to hear it tonight when it drops. I know this record will make you feel something and I know that feeling is love.”
