Juice Wrld Drops ‘Run’: Listen

On Saturday (July 6th) Juice Wrld dropped his first track since March’s Interscope-released Death Race for Love with “Run.” The effort, which has yet to hit streaming services finds the Chicago native grappling with the demons within his soul.

“Money is happiness, cap/ Bitches got faithfulness, cap/ And drugs only make it worse, cap/ I take a perc, then I take me a nap/ Take a sip of the syrup so I could go relax/ Bitch, I’m ready for war when the demons attack,” he croons. The 20-year-old is accompanied by a minimal production of various percussion and heavy synths that give his lyrics extra punch.

The melodic tune also features a sample from the late XXXTentacion‘s unofficially released “Angel,” which could explain the track’s streaming platform holdup. With Juice known to record at a furious pace and eventually flood the marketplace with tons of material, it would come as no surprise if the “Lucid Dreams” lyricist decided to return with another project in 2019 featuring “Run.” Listen to the newest from Juice Wrld below.
