Melbourne native, Amalia Foy, who has played the piano since she was 4-years-old, got on stage with nothing more than a keyboard and her vocal chords. Her performance was so enchanting that she received a standing ovation from the audience, a few tears from Azalea, and the title “superstar” from Lambert.

Iggy’s comments after the performance with nothing less than constant praise. She told young Foy, “That was magic. I don’t want to say anything. You’re going to make me cry.”

On Sunrise Live, the hosts asked Amalia how she felt about moving someone like Iggy to tears. “To be honest I was so emotional myself I didn’t notice,” she said. “Once I replayed it last night, I was stunned.”

Foy also met with the Herald Sun in Melbourne to talk about her experience as a singer. She confessed she had done nothing more than school choir concerts and small competitions. “Being in front of 6,000 people was terrifying, to be honest, “ said the youngster. “But that feeling I had after the audition overrided it.”

Spectators of the premiere became instant fans of Foy and took to Twitter to praise her in her performance.

At the time, Foy was 14 when she auditioned for the Sydney premiere. She is the youngest competitor in this season.
