Houston Announces ‘Meek Mill Day’ To Honor The Rapper

The city of Houston, Texas is in the giving mood naming February 24th as “Meek Mill Day.”

“Life is a roller coaster! #themotivationtour Houston gave me a meek mill day,” he wrote with a photo alongside Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner. It seems that the “Going Bad” rapper is being honored thanks to his efforts in helping reform America’s criminal justice system following his release on bail in 2018. Last month, Mill teamed with Jay-Z, Van Jones, Robert Kraft and more to launch the REFORM Alliance to bring justice to those dealing with the unfair restraints of the judicial system.

When leg two of the Astroworld Tour swept through Houston on February 13th, Travis Scott was also honored and presented with a key to the city for his contributions in giving back to the community that molded him. In addition, the “Sicko Mode” artist was made aware of a new theme park that will be coming to the city – one which Scott promised on the opening track of his latest album.
