As far as super groups in EDM go, they usually stick to two artists at most. Anti Up is Chris Lake and Chris Lorenzo, Dog Blood is Skrillex and Boys Noize, Silk City is Diplo and Mark Ronson, but the entity known as Big Grizmatik is a whole lot more.
The aforementioned team of artists is a combination of some of the funkiest names in music, Big Gigantic, Griz and Gramatik, and the name reflects all three. The quintet took to social media Tuesday (July 2nd) and teased the idea of their comeback. While it is hard to get so much talent in the same place at the same time, they are fairly sure that they will all attend 2020’s edition of Electric Forest and might be getting together for a magnificent reunion.
The tease was started by the saxophone and drum-toting duo on Twitter, quote tweeting a fan and tagging Griz and Gramatik. Gramatik responded with just a video of a screaming gopher. Griz, on the other hand, responded, “Think @Electric_Forest would let us reunite deep in the forest where we were formed? Only seems right.” Another person chimed in to suggest that fellow artist Pretty Lights join in on the fun to create the elusive Pretty Big Grizmatik, but the “Finally Moving” artist’s recent extended hiatus suggests that he will not be participating. See the tweet exchange that has fans excited below.
