While fans were aware of and anxious for Drake’s next album, until recently no release date was revealed. Following his Lil Durk-assisted single, “Laugh Now Cry Later,” Drake just confirmed that his sixth studio album will land in January 2021.

In April of this year, Drizzy mentioned that a new full-length project was forthcoming and stated that it’s, “the most excited [he’s] been about an album in a long time.” Along with the textual announcement, the visual teaser showcases several recreations of Drake’s iconic album covers including Take Care, Nothing Was the Same, and his most recent mixtape release, Dark Lane Demo Tapes. The clip concludes with a birds-eye view of a never-before-seen graphic, imprinted on Toronto’s Roy Thomson Hall.

Adding to the excitement, the Canadian superstar launched an apparel collaboration with Nike, which is said to be “only the beginning” of the pair’s partnership. So far, the collection has sold out, but fans should stay tuned for more drops to come.
