For now, EDM artists have found a suitable substitute for packed and sweaty dance floors by way of drive-in performances and when executed properly, they provide much needed excitement while still staying safe.
Kaskade, deadmau5, REZZ, and others have put on socially distanced drive-in performances in recent weeks, and among those ranks is Deorro with his “Put it in Park” concert series. His latest stop, that takes place tonight, will again be a drive-in show in the Bay Area for a single night of socially responsible enjoyment at a safe pandemic-influenced distance. The event is going down at the Burlingame Golf Center in the San Francisco area, and tickets are already on sale.
Over the last few years Deorro has been an on-and-off artist but he’s coming back out again to help out those who need the musical therapy.
In other safe partying news, Kid Cudi is working on an integrated live music app, while Ticketmaster is working on repurposing their existing tech to make socially distanced shows a much smoother operation.
