Discovered by Beyoncé following their incredible viral cover of the superstar’s own “Pretty Hurts,” today the singing sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey pull the trigger on their most recent album: Ungodly Hour.
Titled after today’s turbulent times, the Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records-released effort is meant to be a healing force for the world’s current woes. “When you decide you like yourself, and you need someone in your life, love me at the ungodly hour. Love me at my best and my worst” Halle explained. Ungodly Hour‘s hit single “Do It” sets the tone for the duo’s 13-track effort as it espouses a similar message. Listen to and watch the recording’s official video below.
Chloe x Halle could’ve released this album sooner, but due to global and personal obligations, the duo decided to hold off for a while. “We wanted the attention to be on getting justice for our brothers and sisters who have lost their lives to police brutality, and we felt that was more important, to use our platform for that. We’re just really happy and proud to see our other peers doing the same, and we’re all letting our voices be heard and we’re not backing down.” Let Ungodly Hour be the soundtrack to healing during this time of social unrest.
