Boston Bun Breaks Into Billboard Dance’s Top 10 With ‘Don’t Wanna Dance’

Shortly after its initial introduction to American club culture punters, Boston Bun‘s debut solo single “Don’t Wanna Dance” has flown up the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart as the Island Records-released effort secures this weeks Top 10 position at #9*.

Taking inspiration from signature Disco-era loud-and-proud samples, the French producer/artist has already made a lasting impression on dance floor fans and fellow musicians alike. Incorporating a pounding bass line underneath the horn-driven instrumental, the artist, born Thibaud Noyer, creates a perfect canvas on top of which he lays the lyrics “Please don’t try to take me by the hand/ Already told you that you’re not my man/ I don’t need this, you blew your last chance/ Pretty baby, I don’t wanna dance.” Listen to the catchy tune here.

Accompanying the original import versions come multiple fresh remixes Brooklyn native Todd Terry who incorporates his signature flare into “Don’t Wanna Dance” to create alternate and equally exciting dance floor heaters. Check out one of the new takes on this week’s Top 10 Billboard charting title below.
