Black Eyed Peas and J Balvin joined forces on the new single “Ritmo (Bad Boys for Life)” on Friday (October 11th).

Appearing on the Epic Records-released Bad Boys for Life soundtrack, the collaborative production takes listeners back to the ’90s courtesy of Corona’s “Rhythm of the Night” sample, turning it into a hip-hop / pop via Balvin’s infectious take on reggaeton. Lyrically, they mix Spanish and English verses as the throwback clip repeats in the background. “Toda la noche rompemos, a el otro dia volvemos” (we break in all night, we come back next day), the Colombian native sings while BEP adds: “Baby tonight is like fuego.”

“I wanted to reimagine ‘Rhythm of the Night’ by Corona and give it a minimal, futurist, afro-fused reggaeton vibe,” said in a press release. “The final song and video feel like the classic next level futurism that the Black Eyed Peas are all about.” Check out the visual below.
