When the Firefly Music Festival returns to The Woodlands of Dover International Speedway in Delaware this September, seven-time Grammy Award-winning artist Billie Eilish will make her debut.
When the event’s website announced new dates in March, as well as subtle posts on social media, festival organizers teased a return to The Woodlands. Firefly 2021, which takes place on the 105-acre festival grounds less than two hours from Philadelphia, will also feature The Killers, Lizzo, and Megan Thee Stallion.Roddy Ricch, Wiz Khalifa, Machine Gun Kelly, Nelly, and Phoebe Bridgers are among the other prominent performers set to play throughout the seven stages this fall.
Last year’s festival was supposed to be Eilish’s Firefly debut, but the event was canceled due to the pandemic. Diplo and Cage The Elephant, who were both scheduled to perform at the 2020 event, will be back in Delaware this fall. The Killers will be performing at the Firefly Music Festival for the fourth time following their 2012, 2015, and 2018 appearances and Lizzo will play at The Woodlands for the third time since her 2015 and 2018 gigs.
Starting this Friday (5.14) at 10 a.m., pre-sale tickets will be available and the remaining tickets will be available for purchase on Monday (5.17). Ticket packages for general admission range from $299 to $399, VIP tickets will cost $699, and the price of a Super VIP bundle is $2,499. Just in time for Memorial Day weekend, Delaware’s COVID-19 limits will be lifted on May 21 but to ensure compliance with health protection measures, outdoor events with more than 250 participants would need pre-approval from the state health department. Full COVID-19 health and safety guidelines are still being finalized, according to festival organizers.
