Following his tragic, premature passing in 2018, Avicii death has inspired others to create unique and thoughtful tributes to the beloved Swedish deejay/producer/artist. While there was a church service set entirely to Avicii songs and tribute concert with performances from artists like Kygo and David Guetta, there’s now a second iteration of the original Avicii-themed video game.
In a newly-released demo for AVICII Invector: Encore Edition, players have the ability to fly through outer space, hitting notes and targets, all set to a soundscape of Avicii’s greatest hits. For those wanting to partake, the demo is currently available free-of-charge on the Nintendo Switch. The official rollout for the game is slated to happen on September 8th, and will include expanded, never-before-seen levels and additional Avicii tracks for gamers to choose from. Check out the trailer for AVICII Invector: Encore Edition.
One quarter of all profits from the new experience will be given to the Tim Bergling Foundation, a charity created by the EDM icon’s family to support scientists and medical professionals working in the mental health field, specifically those focused on suicide prevention.
