Ava Max Breaks Onto Billboard’s Dance Songs Chart

Previously known for her recent collaboration with DJ Vice and Jason Derulo’s ‘Make Up’, Ava Max‘s crazy girlfriend-themed, solo single “Sweet but Psycho” comes alive and secures initial Breakout status on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart.

After gracing the cover of Spotify’s “Today’s Top Hits” playlist two weeks ago, the song has received 89,000,000+ plays and the official video, showing Ava toying with a lover, has amassed almost 10,000,000 views on YouTube.

Embed from Getty ImagesTailor made for club culture, the Atlantic Records release received premium remixes from Paul Morrell, who reworked the instrumental around the original lyric lines, complete with an infectious rhythm track, synths and bell effects.

The lyrics on the first verse, “She’ll make you curse, but she a blessing/She’ll rip your shirt within a second/You’ll be coming back, back for seconds/With your plate, you just can’t help it,” set the stage as Max gets the point across with the use of (her) strong vocals and official video antics.
