One year ago today, (May 22nd) 22 people were killed at an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena. The singer paid tribute to the victims of last year’s bombing with an emotional tweet early this morning.
thinking of you all today and every day 🐝 I love you with all of me and am sending you all of the light and warmth I have to offer on this challenging day

A definitely tragic event was turned into an opportunity to do good, as Grande returned to Manchester just two weeks later to perform at an all-star fundraising concert. The city will mark the day with a series of memorials, including a service at the Manchester cathedral and a musical tribute in the evening featuring the local school choir that performed with Grande at the One Love Concert and the Manchester Survivors Choir, made up of people who attended the concert that night.
The Manchester Evening News front page is also adorned with the names of the 22 who lost their lives to senseless violence.
