Howard Stern announced on SiriusXM that U2 will put on a special, one-night only show at New York’s historic Apollo Theater. An invitation-only event for SiriusXM subscribers, the iconic Irish band will play songs from their recent (14th) studio album “Songs of Experience” along with classics from their 30+ year career.

Bono calls it a bucket-list moment by saying:

“The Apollo Theater is the heart of New York’s musical soul, and to finally be playing our songs on the same stage where James Brown begged ‘Please Please Please’ is not only a bucket list moment, it’s an incredible honor.”

All SiriusXM subscribers will have the opportunity to win tickets to the exclusive Apollo performance through an invitation sent via e-mail and new subscribers (as of April 25th, 2018) will also be eligible to win a trip for two to New York to see the show. More information about the U2 NYC gig can be found on SiriusXM’s website.
