With Bohemian Rhapsody staying hot in theaters right now, Troye Sivan took time to give his own take on the classic Queen hit “Somebody to Love.”

Produced by Bram Inscore, who worked with Sivan on his 2015 debut album, Blue Neighbourhood, the new rendition is the third in a series of artist covers in support of the Mercury Phoenix Trust, set up in 1992 (the year after Mercury’s death) to continue the fight against HIV/AIDS.

“I’m so beyond honored to have been asked to cover ‘Somebody to Love’ by Queen, a masterful song by the most legendary band,” Sivan commented in a statement.

‘’Troye’s version is a unique take on this Queen classic. It is both moving and totally original. Thank you from us all at the Mercury Phoenix Trust – fighting AIDS worldwide,” noted Queen’s manager, Jim Beach, who co-founded MPT along with Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor.
