With many a musician forced to produce content from home, Grammy Award-winning songstress Toni Braxton wasted no time in creating a fitting visual for her newest release, “Do It.”
The Island Records-serviced single tells the tale of a breakup that needed to happen, regardless of its fleeting good feelings. In a statement, the 52-year-old elaborated by saying “We have all been through situations like this when there is really nothing more to say…. You know he’s not right and you just need to do what you need to do. There is also an element of hope in the song that after you do what you need to do, things will get better.” Watch Toni sing “Do It” into her phone while clad in lace clothing.
Adding to the news surrounding the Maryland native’s latest musical offering, Toni confirmed that she and rapper Birdman will be tying the knot later this year. The couple went through more than a few ideas pertaining to their wedding, such as choosing between a large or small reception, or with social distancing in mind, perhaps a drive-thru function. Regardless of all their plans Braxton insists that no matter what “We’re definitely gonna do it this year.” The meet-up was inevitable as Birdman (aka Bryan Williams) has made several appearances on Braxton’s reality show, Braxton Family Values.
