Last week, dance music legend Tiësto took to social media with a teaser for “VER:WEST” and what may possibly be a return to his trance music roots.

What makes his post particularly tantalizing is the fact that the project’s name is derived from Tiësto’s own name – Tijs Michiel Verwest – and the clip exposes a side of the EDM impresario that’s not surfaced in years. Entitled “5 Seconds Before Sunrise”, the track teased in the preview was played earlier this year at Tiësto’s Reconnected | Beatport Live set, and is expected to drop on July 17th on his own AFTR:HRS label.

The upcoming delicate single is likely a nod back to the song “Ten Seconds Before Sunrise,” the Tiësto classic that kicked off his 2007 LP, Elements of Life. The main difference between the two is that the newer take is far softer than “Ten Seconds …” Listen to the short clip of what’s to come from Tiësto and check this space again for updates on this project and more.
