Halsey stopped by BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge on Thursday (June 6th) and took the opportunity to cover The Jonas Brothers‘ first No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit, “Sucker.”

Instead of performing the Republic Records-released song as its original form by the recently reunited boy band, the “Without Me” singer took a different approach. Halsey decided to put her own twist on the recording by slowing down the tempo, reeling back the instruments and putting a spotlight on the emotional content of the track. Listen to her soulful version of the bubbly Pop cut here.

“Oh my God,” the brothers-three states in a recent video they posted to Twitter. “Halsey, that was amazing. Thank you so much for covering ‘Sucker.’ It sounded incredible. We love ya!” Watch the Jonas Brothers’ reaction below.
