The wait is over. Lil Wayne dropped his 7-years-in-the-making Tha Carter V via his own Young Money Records.

With Wayne’s legacy solidified following his already massively-successful career, Tha Carter V will still play an integral role in spawning the next phase of the 504 native’s illustrious professional life. “I’m very much a perfectionist. I don’t know what it’s setting me up for – some big comeback, or maybe some big fall back or whatever – but it’s setting me up for something, and I’m ready,” he told Billboard.

The album contains solo tracks as well as collaborations with heavy-hitters such as Post Malone, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, XXXTentacion, French Montana and more. And the perfectionist in Wayne definitely comes out on this 23-track project … listen here.

As a result of a grueling lawsuit the 36-year-old recently became the sole proprietor of Young Money Entertainment and Tha Carter V‘s release should serve as a celebratory moment, lifting the burden that muzzled Tunechi in recent years.
