While Taylor Swift has kept her political thoughts to herself for years, she ramped up her game by reminding people to vote in today’s (November 6th) big midterm election.

Swift took to Instagram to voice her options and urge young people to vote, “I’m seeing a lot of underestimation of young voters in this new generation who now have the right to vote just in the last couple of years,” said Swift in her Story, “but these are people who grew up post 9/11. They grew up with school shooting drills at their schools. These are people who want to vote.”

“It’s not enough to just want change,” Swift continued, “It’s not enough to just want to vote. You have to go and make change by voting.” The “Look What You Made Me Do” singer finished with asking fans to tag her in photos of them voting.

Other artists have spoken out about the importance of voting today, including Mike Shinoda, Tom Morello, Kesha and more.
