Drake Launches Marijuana Growing Business


After handing out bouquets of flowers this week to raise hype about Drake‘s next undisclosed business move, he has entered the marijuana industry with the launching of his More Life Growth Co. brand.

According to a Reuters report, the 6 God is taking a massive 60 percent stake in the company’s joint venture deal with Canopy Growth, which will “produce and distribute” marijuana. The licensed company will be built around “wellness, discovery and overall personal growth.” “The opportunity to partner with a world-class company like Canopy Growth on a global scale is really exciting,” Drake shared. “The idea of being able to build something special in an industry that is ever growing has been inspiring. More Life and More Blessings.”

It is currently unknown if the business will offer any special edition products related to the musician, or will simply join the ranks of many other marijuana operations. Regardless, Drizzy maintains an open mind when trying to turn OVO into a full-blown empire.

Snoop Dogg Blazes Up As Brand Ambassador To An In-Home Weed-Growing Business

An Israeli start-up that promotes home-grown marijuana says it has signed on American rapper Snoop Dogg as a brand ambassador.

Snoop, an outspoken advocate of marijuana use, will promote Seedo’s small refrigerator-like machine that grows plants with the help of artificial intelligence. The self-contained “grow box” regulates temperature, light, carbon dioxide and minerals and is monitored by an application. In short, buyers can relax while waiting for their herb to come to fruition.

The company says its box can grow a variety of plants, spices and other greenery through its automated process, though much of its advertising has focused on the marijuana market. In a statement released by Seedo on Tuesday, Snoop said that promoting a product that enables people to grow plants in unused urban spaces “is something I’m all the way down with.” Another positive to the pitch is the safety of knowing what users are getting when they roll up, rather than relying on low quality dispensaries or black market deals.

This new venture comes in addition to Snoop’s own line of marijuana products, Leafs by Snoop, launched in 2015.

Jay-Z Joins Cannabis Company As Chief Brand Strategist


Jay-Z is officially turning his business mind toward a new venture, the legal marijuana industry as the Cannabis company Caliva announced on Tuesday (July 9th) that the heavyweight rapper will join the team as their chief brand strategist.

According to a release on the drug’s website, the “99 Problems” lyricist’s position involves multiple responsibilities including implementing creative decisions, outreach efforts and strategy, while also working to improve social justice issues involved in weed legalization. Mr. Carter will do so via “advocacy, job training and overall employee and workforce development” to create a new generation of legal marijuana purveyors.

“Anything I do, I want to do correctly and at the highest level,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “With all the potential in the cannabis industry, Caliva’s expertise and ethos make them the best partners for this endeavor. We want to create something amazing, have fun in the process, do good and bring people along the way.” He is not alone in the business as a number of other rappers have dipped their toes into the weed industry, including Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa, who all have their own strains.
