The Notorious B.I.G.‘s Life After Death will forever be remembered  by hip-hop aficionados as one of the greatest albums of our generation. Likewise, the first Star Wars film will always be go into history as one of the greatest imaginative ventures in cinema. So what do you get when you combine the two entities? Possibly one of the greatest mash-up albums of all-time, right up there with Danger Mouse’s The Grey Album.

Richie Branson teamed up with producer Solar Slim on Life After Death Star, which sees the duo, also known as Otaku Gang, pairing up Biggie’s verses with John Williams’ iconic score for Star Wars: A New Hope. The result is a melange of dark, big band bravado backing the confident street lyrics of Biggie Smalls. In anticipation of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens, this will certainly get you in the mood.
