If the name Sophie Beem sounds familiar, it’s because Beyoncé signed the young singer to her company Parkwood Entertainment back in 2015 after a hugely successful run on the X Factor in 2012. Sophie may only be 16 years old but she has the voice and lyrical delivery of a seasoned pro.

The New York singer recently dropped her self-titled EP featuring tracks; Girls Will be Girls, Skyline, Nail Polish, Sleepless/City Kid, and the stand out Fetty Wap collab “I Got It”. “The collaboration happened really naturally — Beyoncé and I both thought his voice would sound really good on the song,” she told Teen Vogue in a recent interview. Earlier this month Sophie hit the road with “See You Again” singer Charlie Puth as the support act for his Nine Track Mind Tour, making stops in major cities throughout North America.

From what we know, Bey’s chosen one is currently finishing up her debut studio album, so for now listen to her self-titled EP below, and keep your eyes on her next move.
