With fans anxiously awaiting a new album from Skrillex, new footage recently surfaced showing the 32-year-old in the studio with multiple high-end artists.
During the Labor Day weekend the dubstep pioneer posted a short Instagram video and story with Mike D of the iconic hip-hop group, The Beastie Boys. He also shared clips of some studio tinkering with legendary producer Scott Storch that involved a miniature piano and full-size synth. The results are inspiring and could lead to some great musical results.
Though no official Skrillex LP has yet to be confirmed yet, the Grammy Award-winning producer’s also been seen working with The Beach Boys and Mike Einziger and it’s safe to assume that there are quite a few IDs piling up in Skrillex’s vault that may lead to a future full-length effort.
In recent years the Los Angeles native has released a number of collaborations and remixes including “Ego Death” with Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign and FKA Twigs, “Purple Lamborghini” with Rick Ross, and a remix of Travis Scott‘s “Sicko Mode.”
