After securing the #1 Breakout slot, Sigrid‘s “Don’t Feel Like Crying” earns the #40* Debut position on this week’s Billboard Dance Club Songs Top 50 chart.

The recording, which appears on her recent Island Records-released album Sucker Punch, offers a message of empowerment through a personal pep-talk by the 22-year-old Norwegian who sings about self-care. “I hope you understand that I’m dealing/It’s my way of healing/But here is the truth/Wallowing in it would be such a waste/That isn’t gonna fix it anyway,” before driving home the point: “I dry my eyes ’cause I don’t feel like crying… At least tonight, no, I don’t feel like crying.”

The fiercely independent, major label release features upbeat production via remix treatment from worldwide artist/DJ Marc Kinchen (professionally known as MK). His fresh take maintains Sigrid’s lyrical content while adding new elements that include but are not limited to a four-on-the-floor tempo and strong piano chords that play to his signature house music sound.

In addition to the original audio, the singer born, Sigrid Solbakk Raabe, dropped an accompanying illustrative lyric video to this week’s #40* Debut
