Sting and Shaggy have made a Caribbean-influenced album together. It’s called 44/876, and it’s out on 4/20. The first single from the album, “Don’t Make Me Wait” has arrived.
Apparently the two first got together last summer and have been in the studio since then. For their part, both artists seem pretty thrilled with outcome, gushing heavily over each other to Rolling Stone. On one song, Shaggy told the magazine he felt confident moving forward after “the god says it’s a hit!”
“The most important thing to me in any kind of music is surprise,” Sting told the Rolling Stone. “And everybody is surprised by this collaboration – by what they’re hearing. We’re surprising.”
Look out for 44/876 to drop April 20th on Interscope Records. You can listen to the lead single “Don’t Make Me Wait” above.
