Following an extended hiatus Selena Gomez made her triumphant return to live music at this Sunday’s American Music Awards performing her two new songs “Look at Her Now” and Hot 100 chart topping, “Lose You to Love Me” – but that’s not all she had to share.
Following the AMA’s, Gomez took to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes snaps, including some new ink. The 27-year-old songstress posted an image on Instagram of Polaroid photos as she got dressed in her sparkly leotard for the performance. One of the clips showed off her new tattoo – two hands clasped in prayer on her upper thigh, with rosary beads hanging down.
The ink’s subject matter may’ve reflected Gomez’s years-long battle with mental and physical health troubles and the faith that helped her through. Tagged in the post is celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang, who has inked other musicians such as Rihanna, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber.
