Originally released on January 10th via Interscope Records, Selena Gomez‘ latest album Rare, has added three more song titles to its deluxe version including “Boyfriend”, “She”, and “Souvenir” the first of which came with the explanation by the singe in a letter to listeners:

“Many of you know how excited I have been to release a song called ‘Boyfriend,’” the 27-year-old singer stated about the bonus tracks. “It’s a lighthearted song about falling down and getting back up time and time again in love, but also knowing that you don’t need anyone other than yourself to be happy. We wrote it long before our current crisis, but in the context of today, I want to be clear that a boyfriend is nowhere near the top of my list of priorities. Just like the rest of the world, I’m praying for safety, unity and recovery during this pandemic.”

Because of her concern about public health, Gomez said she’s personally donating to the Plus1 COVID-19 Relief Fund in addition to giving $1 from every album purchased from her official store. Listen to the deluxe Rare here.
