Sam Smith and James Corden crooned heartbroken ballads during the latest episode of “Carpool Karaoke,” and for the grande finale, Corden surprised Smith  by inviting members of the pop quartet into the car to revisit their old chart topping banger.

The pair two sang their way through some of his most famous ballads including “Too Good at Goodbyes,” “Lay Me Down,” “I’m Not the Only One,” “Money on My Mind,” “Pray,” and “Stay with Me.” Usually Corden and his passengers scream along to songs in unison, but with Smith in the car, The Late Late Show-host often focused on harmonizing. Impressively, during “Lay Me Down,” he opted to take the high part.

To end with a bang, then the ladies of Fifth Harmony crashed the joy ride to sing along with “Work From Home”  Smith – a committed Fifth Harmony fan – suggested that Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home” would play an integral part in his future wedding ceremony. Watch the clip below.

Smith’s new album, The Thrill of It All, is out Friday.
