Liverpool, England, couple Sharon Cook and Andrew Aitchison had planned their dream wedding at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, but their plans were halted when the agency set to transport all of their attendees announced their bankruptcy and canceled all travelers’ plans.
The couple and their 14 guests were left high and dry until Delta Air Lines and Caesars Palace stepped in to throw the couple the party of a lifetime on Wednesday (October 2nd) at the Venus Garden Chapel at the Nevada hotel. According to a press release, Cook and Aitchison exchanged their vows surrounded by “tropical palm trees, Roman architecture, beautiful floral arrangements and their closest friends and family,” plus one special wedding crasher.
At the end of the ceremony, resident headliner at Caesars’ Colosseum theater, Rod Stewart, surprised the pair with an acoustic version of his hit “Have I Told You Lately” accompanied by a string trio. The knighted singer subsequently invited the whole party to his “Rod Stewart: The Hits” show at the Colosseum. Check out photo evidence of the occasion below.
