It’s been some three years since Rihanna dropped an album and it appears that the “Love On The Brain” singer will be releasing her next project in 2019.
On Friday, December 21st, a fan commented, via Instagram, about new Fenty product asking, “But when is the album dropping Robyn? Can we have a release date for that?” to which the Grammy winning artist answered “2019.” The upcoming work will be the follow-up to 2016’s Roc Nation-released Anti.
Rihanna’s vocal producer Kuk Harrel also teased the unnamed release earlier last week, stating that “R9 is great. R9 is amazing. It’s incredible, And that’s all I’m going to say,” offering only slightly more information than RiRi did on her own post. Take a look at the original Instagram entry that started all the real hype here.
One source also reported that Rihanna was not happy with the way her previous album performed and is looking to create a more chart-friendly collection of tracks for 2019.
