This new Red Hot Chili Peppers track is exactly The Getaway you need this summer.

Grammy award-winning rock band The Red Hot Chili Peppers have released a new single off their 11th studio album The Getaway yesterday (May 26 2016). The song is the title track and the second single to be released, with the first being “Dark Necessities” earlier this month. The track features the band’s signature sound, incorporating entrancing drumming, groovy basslines, and layers of guitar riffs laced in reverb.

“The Getaway” was produced by Danger Mouse, who’s known for working with acts such as Gnarls Barkley and The Black Keys. The album was mixed by Nigel Godrich, known primarily as the producer for Radiohead.  The Chili Peppers will release the entire album on June 17 2016 through Warner Music.

RHCP are set to to return to tour in support of the album, announcing they will be performing at the BottleRock Napa Valley Festival this weekend. Lead singer Anthony Kiedis was hospitalized recently due to complications with intestinal flu but has since recovered.
